What it asks of you
- A one-time setup. An installer and a model download, rather than signing up and pasting a link. The wizard walks through it.
- Your own hardware. A long stream keeps the GPU busy for a while. It runs in the background, but the computer is doing real work.
- A graphics card, ideally. It runs without one, just slowly. An NVIDIA GPU makes the biggest difference.
How it finds the good moments
A model that fits on a consumer graphics card is smaller than one running in a data centre. The pipeline is built around that rather than ignoring it.
- Find more candidates. Audio and visual peaks become clips in their own right, so laughter and chaos are not missed just because the transcript reads flat.
- Rank, don't grade. Small models score everything in a narrow band, so the finalists are compared against each other in one pass. Relative judgement is far easier than absolute scoring.
- Keep the human. You are going to review clips before posting anyway. The model only has to get good moments into the shortlist, and you pick the winners, which is the cheapest quality multiplier there is.
- Scale with hardware. A bigger GPU means a bigger model, one click, no new subscription.
